This week we will be going over some basic and fundamental inforation and knowledge around nutrition and hydration. Not only for your performance and training, but for your everyday health and wellbeing.

Nutrition is an area where so many people are getting let down. Let down by themselves, but also by the lack of proper education, missinformation and terrible marketting that we are constantly bombarded with every day. 

Through the information presented this week, I hope that you will have a greater understanding of WHAT you should be eating on a daily basis, and HOW to go about it. 

Not only do we need to be able to fuel our bodies correctly, we also need to be giving it the vitamin, nimerals and nutrients that it needs to be able to support our immune function to keep us healthy and functioning properly. 

The final piece of this puzzle is around Race Day nutrition. What we eat on ride/race days is extremely important!! As we know, food is fuel, if you are not fueling your body correctly, or even giving your body enough fuel then you are not going to be able to perform at your full potential. All your har owrk and training can be shot down the drain. So understanding HOW to fuel yourself correctly on race days is very important, but also working through some of the ideas presented here to figure out exactly what works best for you on race days as well.


Being properly hydrated is so incredibly important for your performance on race days! 

Just 2% dehydration will have a 45% decrease in your performance.

That’s massive! And 2% is not very much at all. So making sure that you stay well hydrated not just on race days, but for your training as well is very paramount.
